Darryl Jones was named chief real estate officer and executive vice president of Denver International Airport (DEN) in June 2016. He is responsible for the continued development and economic expansion of the airport’s real estate program on 17,000 developable acres. The program includes the transit-oriented communities at two on-airport, commuter rail stations, and the 1,500-acre commercial-use pilot program, ratified by voters in November 2015.
Prior to his service at DEN, Jones was vice president and development manager of Coventry Development Corporation, where he managed major land planning and development projects in Colorado, Florida and Texas. Jones has also served as the director of planning and government affairs for Oakwood Homes and as planning manager for the Community Development Department of the City of Greenwood Village, Colo.
He holds a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. He currently serves as a member of the Greenwood Village city council.
