Commander has provided professional alternative dispute resolution services for more than 20 years in proceedings administered privately and through the American Arbitration Association.
Commander brings to DURA the combined perspectives of Denver’s legal and real estate development landscapes after spending more than 35 years as an attorney in the city representing clients involved in nearly every sector of the construction industry and with many listed in the Engineering News-Records “Top 400 Contractors.” He formerly served as the managing shareholder for the Denver office of Polsinelli, PC, an Am Law 100 national law firm, as well as the vice chair of the firm’s national construction practice.
Along with serving as a DURA board commissioner, Commander is an active board member and past chair of the Downtown Denver Partnership, earning the 2014 Honorary Partner Award. He also formerly served as a board member for the Associated General Contractors of Colorado and an executive committee member for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation.
