Inexpensive Family Holiday FestivitiesThe holiday season is upon us and money is tight between gifts, winter house and car upgrades and cooking for loved ones. With all these things to do, the last thing a family wants to spend money on is family activities. We understand that!
We came up with some of our favorite inexpensive things to do during the holiday season….
- Ice skating! The rink in downtown Denver, on Arapahoe Street Between 16th and 17th streets, is free and rental skates are available (https://www.downtowndenver.com/experience-downtown/downtown-denver-ice-rink/).
- Christmas lights! With some internet research, you can find the top Christmas light displays by Denver residents. Pack the family in the car and after the drive, have some hot chocolate to add to the fun.
- Christmas movies and pizza night! If it is chilly out, grab some blankets and snuggle by the Christmas tree!
- Sledding! Snow on the ground? Grab a plastic sled from a nearby store and take turns sliding down the hill. Adults- don’t be afraid to be a kid! Once you are home you can warm up with some tea, coffee and/or hot chocolate.
