A proud native of Denver, Colorado, Terri Jackson serves as the Co-Owner and Vice President of Empowercom, a design/build firm of Specialty Systems including Teledata, Audio, Video, Broadcast, Security, and Building Automation infrastructure solutions. Empower.com proudly celebrates its mission of providing a diverse employee base that includes seasoned professionals with at-risk youth, ex-offenders, immigrants and those who were previously underemployed.
Jackson received her undergraduate degree in business from the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she played basketball. She was one of only 10 students accepted directly from undergraduate school at the University of Michigan’s School Of Business where she received her MBA. Before launching Empowercom, she was employed at Coopers & Lybrand, MCI and Pepsi. She served as president of the Denver Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, President of the Black Construction Group and as a board member of the YMCA.
