DURA appoints three new members to Board of Commissioners: Kristin Bronson, Kendra Black and Stacie Loucks

The Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) recently announced Kristin Bronson, Kendra Black and Stacie Loucks as the latest appointments to its 13-member Board of Commissioners. As members of the board, Bronson, Black and Loucks will help guide the organization’s programs, policies and priorities.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kristin, Kendra and Stacie to the DURA Board of Commissioners,” said Tracy Huggins, executive director of DURA. “Their diverse experiences and deep understanding of Denver’s communities will be invaluable as we continue to revitalize neighborhoods and promote responsible redevelopment in the city. We look forward to their contributions and collaboration as we work to make Denver a more vibrant and equitable place for all.”

Kristin Bronson is an accomplished leader with experience in both the public and private sectors. She currently serves as the executive director for the Colorado Lawyers Committee, overseeing a nonpartisan group of 70 law firms dedicated to pro bono legal work. Prior to this, she worked as the city attorney for the City and County of Denver, where she provided legal advice to the Mayor, City Council, and various city agencies, departments, boards and commissions. She is also a founder of the Denver Immigrant Legal Services Fund, which helps increase access to legal services for Denver’s immigrant populations. Bronson has received numerous awards for her work, including the Colorado Women’s Bar Association’s Raising the Bar award and Law Week’s Woman Lawyer of the Year.

Kendra Black is a Denver native who has devoted much of her career to the betterment of communities in Denver and throughout Colorado. She served on the Denver City Council for eight years, representing and advocating for her constituents, and has worked closely with various community groups and organizations to improve mobility options, land use planning, parks and trails, and public art. In addition to her service as an elected representative, Black has led multiple community efforts related to parks and education, and served on a variety of boards including the Scientific Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), the Regional Air Quality Council, the Colorado Municipal League, and Transportation Solutions.

Stacie Loucks is a public engagement consultant and founder of Agora Civic Engagement, LLC, where she specializes in strategic outreach and communications, stakeholder engagement, and task force coordination. Loucks has an extensive background in public policy and local government, having previously served in Mayor Michael Hancock’s cabinet as Director of Excise & Licenses and worked for an international non-governmental organization on local government capacity-building and anti-corruption initiatives.
