DURA helps Denver homeowners make their homes safer and more comfortable

Through a partnership with the Denver Office of Economic Development, DURA has funding for its Single Family Rehabilitation (SFR) program which helps qualifying low- to moderate-income Denver homeowners make essential repairs and necessary upgrades to their homes.

Eligible improvements range from roofing, plumbing, siding, gutters and window repair or replacement. Some kitchen and bathroom repairs may qualify as well, such as tile and cabinetry fixes. A lead-based paint risk assessment is performed at no additional cost on all SFR projects.

Homeowners can achieve these repairs with a zero to 1 percent interest loan of up to $34,999. “I was worried a little about getting a loan and starting these projects,” said Betty Valenzuela, a Denver homeowner living in a 100+ year old home. “Applying wasn’t hard and they were all great people – the contractors and DURA staff.”

While most DURA housing programs remain on hold due to current health restrictions, we are still accepting applications. Learn more about our Single-Family Rehabilitation program and apply at: https://renewdenver.org/housing-rehabilitation/single-family-rehabilitation/
