What is the DURA Community STAND program?

The Community Stabilization Tool Assisting Neighborhood Development (STAND) program is a new grant initiative by the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) that will offer funding to small businesses, nonprofits, and business improvement districts to enable enhancements. The program aims to prevent organizations from moving away from their original communities.

The Authority plans to allocate grant funds to small businesses, non-profit organizations, and business improvement districts within URAs that have historically lacked investment. DURA specifically requests proposals from these organizations seeking funding to support their vision for their intended communities. These organizations must be located in the City and County of Denver within an existing Urban Renewal Area (URA) or within a ½ mile of an existing URA.
