As a proud Denver native, Kendra has dedicated much of her career to helping communities thrive in Denver, the region and state. She served on the Denver City Council for eight years, advocating for her constituents and ensuring they have a voice. She worked with residents, neighborhood groups, school leaders, students and families, and southeast Denver nonprofits, religious organizations, and businesses. Her collaborative efforts have improved mobility options, stewarded land use planning, improved parks and trails, increased public art, and more.
Kendra has served on multiple boards and committees over the years including chairing the city’s State Legislative Policy Group, Scientific Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), Regional Air Quality Council, Transportation Solutions, Denver Park Trust, High Line Conservancy, Near Southeast Area Plan, DPS Bond Oversight Committees, and many more. She has a strong history of civic engagement and leading good governance efforts. Kendra sponsored legislation related to climate change, election reform, historic preservation, community safety, and more.
Kendra received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Colorado. Outside of her professional career, Kendra’s passions include spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.
